The Mission Statement of our church is: "Blessed By God To Serve Others." We do our best to serve in any way we can - a helping hand, a hot meal, an offer of prayer, a word of hope, a smile, and a great worship experience.
This church began in 1894 and has been committed to this community ever since. Our church is part of the Reformed Church in America, one of the oldest denominations in America, with continuous work since 1628. You can find out more about the "RCA" at www.rca.org.
We are a sinful people, separated from a holy God; we need to be saved.
Jesus, the son of God, came to this earth, lived a sinless life, died for us on the cross, and rose from the dead. Through this he saved us. He paid the price so we don't have to. This is a FREE gift, we can do nothing to earn it.
We must accept Jesus as our Savior and believe in him. When we do that we receive forgiveness of sin.
We study the Bible (God's Word to us), worship together as believers in Jesus Christ, and share ourselves with God through prayer. This is how God changes us.
The people of God, the church, are to be about God's business here on earth. The Holy Spirit gives us the desire and ability to share our faith, and serve our neighbors, our friends, and our enemies. In other words, we desire to be like Jesus.
Jesus will return to this earth some day to set all things right. Those who trust him as Savior will be welcomed into heaven, the place where God is. Those who have rejected him will be separated from him forever, in a place called hell, a place where God is not.
If you are not sure about your destiny when you die, please find someone who can help you become a follower of Jesus. Our pastors or elders will be glad to talk with you.
