Silver Creek Community Church, is a church in rural Minnesota, close to many park systems and local towns. Our community has easy access to the Minneapolis/St. Paul areas and all the amenities the large cities have to offer. Our church enjoys a rich history (125 years) in the community and in the Reformed Church of America. The pastoral candidate we are seeking should demonstrate their love of Jesus Christ through scriptural based worship services, studies and care of the congregation. They should also be able to demonstrate this commitment in the community through engagement and interactions.

Position Description:
- Preaching and the Worship Experience: Provide strong, biblical messages. Demonstrate meaningful and applicable delivery of sermons, enhancing the full Worship Experience.
- Spiritual Leadership: Demonstrate spiritual leadership by the study of the Word of God and demonstrate it through daily living. Support biblical training reflecting the RCA theology. Lead and participate in Bible Studies that allow deep study, understanding and teaching of the Bible.
- Pastoral Calling: Be a shepherd to the congregation, eager to serve and support the church. Be available to the congregation during office hours and critical times. Actively demonstrate care of the members through conversation, visitation and involvement in church activities. Guide the church in ideas and growth that fit the needs of our community.
- Church Administration: Discern God’s vision with the congregation and help to develop action plans. Demonstrate the ability to partner and participate with the church board and committees. Possess strong interpersonal and organizational skills. Motivate and encourage members.
- Leadership: Aptitude or experience in leading and guiding members through difficult issues. Examples being: conflict resolution, an aging church population and church growth. Understand and practice the RCA’s polity.
Ministry Type: RCA
Salary Range: Negotiable based on RCA guidelines.
Experience and Education:
- Minister of Word and Sacrament, Master of Divinity
- Experience in biblical preaching and teaching in a pastoral role preferred
- Denominational affiliation with the Reformed Church in America or able to affirm Reformed theology as a partnering denomination
